This album has been a trip, to say the least. The inspiration for these songs came from an understanding that history and ancestry has led us to our current experience. We'll likely never be able to contextualize the full spectrum of history. We can, however, use what we know to shape the future that is tomorrow.

A special thank you to the members of Backwater Township, Andrew Bradt (sax), Olivier Turner (Guitar) Corey Thomas (Bass) & Vitta Morales (Drums). For the better part of the writing process I was able to find an amazing group of musicians to take the music to the next level. Without their creative insight and virtuosity this project would never have become what it is today.

I am also thankful for every teacher I've had the chance to learn from, and for my family and friends for all their support throughout this journey.
